Description
Rasmus Nicolas Ringgaard is the Head of European Cooperation at the Danish Energy Agency (DEA). Through the DEA, Denmark has energy governance partnerships with several European countries, including France, Germany, Poland and the UK. These partnerships focus particularly on government-to-government cooperation in areas such as offshore wind, district heating and energy efficiency. Rasmus has a long career in developing international and national energy policies. Prior to joining the DEA, he was a senior adviser at the International Energy Agency (IEA), where he managed the Clean Energy Transitions Programme. Previously, he was the Danish Energy and Climate Counsellor to the OECD and IEA at the Danish OECD Delegation in Paris. Rasmus holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and UC Berkeley.
