Description
Hanno Salecker is the Head of the Maritime Spatial Planning Section at the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) in Germany. He is responsible for the development and implementation of the maritime spatial plan for Germany's exclusive economic zone (EEZ), focusing on sustainable and efficient use of marine resources. He is also actively involved in various international cooperation forums for maritime spatial planning, fostering cooperation and knowledge exchange between planning authorities in the North and Baltic Seas.
Since joining the BSH in 2017, he has been primarily involved in sectoral planning for offshore wind energy, contributing significantly to Germany's renewable energy transition. With about 15 years of professional experience in the renewable energy sector, he has also worked at the Federal Environment Agency and the Ministry for Economic Affairs, specializing in offshore wind energy and energy policy.
