Description
Pádraig Slyne has been Government and Public Affairs Manager in EirGrid, Ireland’s TSO, since 2015. Previous to that, he held roles within the Irish political system including as an Advisor to the Irish Taoiseach (Prime Minster).
During his career in EirGrid, he has been centrally involved in the evolving Irish offshore policy landscape, in particular EirGrid’s appointment as asset owner and operator for the Ireland’s offshore grid. He also represents EirGrid at North Seas Energy Cooperation Working Group level, aswell as in ENTSOE, Offshore Coalition for Energy and Nature(OCEaN), and Renewable Grid Initiative.
In addition, developing and maintaining relations with neighbouring TSOs in UK, France and Spain are key responsibilities . This has included the Public Affairs relationship with Rté France on the Celtic Interconnector.
