Hydrodynamic loads applied on a tidal turbine model in turbulent flow : from the implementation to the first measurements

The loads applied on the turbines, must be taken into account in their design. A porous disc has been designed, manufactured and placed into an hydrodynamic tunnel. It is equipped with strain gauges to measure the deformation of its mast subjected to the current.
