The LUSAC laboratory conducts research on tidal turbines, this work focuses on Multi-Rotor Systems, composed of several closely spaced turbines. This blockage is expected to improve electricity production. An instrumented model is being developed to study the interaction between the ambient flow (PIV) and the hydrodynamic forces acting on the system. The rotors are modelled using porous disks.
