France introduced a wind turbine tax (€20,248/MW/year) to support offshore wind and improve social acceptance, yet opposition persists. Using a discrete choice experiment, this study analyzes preferences for tax revenue allocation and how they vary with exposure, location, and individual characteristics to inform better policy design.
