Description
Quiet-Oceans is a consulting company specialised in underwater acoustic monitoring: real-time & non-real-time passive acoustic, real-time marine mammals’ detection, automatic alert sending, and noise modelling and forecasting. We assist with BACI protocols, baseline and impact assessments in permitting phase of the project, pre-construction phase, noise monitoring during construction, and during exploitation phase. We can in addition supply PAM and MMO operators for the monitoring.
We developped a modelling platform names Quonops, that models natural ambient noise taking into account environmental parameters (bathy, sediments, currents, traffic, etc.) and predicts anthropogenic noise level of offshore work (drilling, vibrojetting, hammering) and the mitigation solutions (bubble curtains, etc).
